  • Overview

    Provide support to Finance Leadership and CFO on enterprise-wide initiatives, participate in and/or lead specialized projects, including Accounting Standard implementations, accounting system upgrades, and new products. Contribute to Accounting Operations process improvements and efficiencies. Serve as backup for other positions on the accounting team, cross-train for job sharing responsibilities and help facilitate the completion of financial objectives.


    • Evaluate and make recommendations on existing processes to gain efficiencies and improve controls in the financial close process. Enhance reporting of financial results and key metrics to senior management. Incorporate new accounting standards into Accounting Operations policies, procedures and sub ledger systems where appropriate.
    • Works on special accounting projects as assigned.
    • Provides functional backup for other finance functions as assigned and Commissions processing.
    •  Investigates discrepancies and other areas of concern regarding financial information and recommends corrective actions.
    • Provides accounting assistance to all departments during the budgeting process.
    • Assists with the preparation of monthly financial statements. Prepares certain month-end journal entries. Performs a general overview of departmental financial statements documenting the reasons for significant variances between actual and budgeted amounts. Prepares charts and graphs for inclusion with the monthly financial statements.
    • Performs bank statement and general ledger account reconciliations.
    • Assists in the preparation of lead sheets for external auditors


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, an equivalent major or equivalent experience, and 2-4 years of professional accounting experience or CPA.
    • Advanced professional knowledge and competency in accounting principles and practices.
    • Strong written and oral communication and ability to relate and communicate effectively across all levels of staff inside and outside the department.
    • Hands-on, energetic, organized, team player with proven ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment and facilitate change, multitask effectively and work independently.
    • Ability to prioritize projects, quickly determine the requirements to accomplish them, and analyze the processes to figure out how to simplify, automate, and improve them for increased efficiency.
    • Must possess sound judgment, good decision making ability, and a high level of decision quality, problem solving and analytical abilities with a high attention to detail.
