  • Overview

    This position pulls, counts, and stores stock or parts, operates material handling vehicles, routes parts, stocks and may supply various manufacturing areas.

    Responsibilities

    • Gathers parts/stock according to instructions provided on order forms and routes them to designated areas while maintaining quality and on-time delivery.
    • Maintains organization and accuracy of work area by following established procedures for staging in-process work and supply items, stock rotation, allocation of storage space on shelves, inventory transaction sequence and area housekeeping.
    • Monitors and restocks specified items utilizing appropriate material handling techniques. 
    • May load and unload trucks when required.
    • Follows all safety guidelines, maintains an acceptable dependability level, and must not pose a risk to self or others.

    Qualifications

     

    • Must demonstrate an understanding of basic math to accurately measure/calculate quantities of parts/stock counted.
    • Ability to effectively identify part numbers and/or descriptions.
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
    • Ability to learn operation of various motorized material handling vehicles (lift trucks, stock pickers, pallet jacks, etc.) and have demonstrated ability to use those and other tools and equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the position (counting scales, computer scanners, miscellaneous hand tools, etc.)
