  • Overview

    Under general supervision, this position provides a variety of administrative and staff support functions, generally serving as a liaison with others both inside and outside of A-dec regarding administrative issues.

    Responsibilities

    • Compiles, creates and modifies reports using database software or Microsoft Office applications. Incumbents are also generally responsible for routine data and/or order entry into various software systems.
    • Answers and appropriately routes telephone calls as necessary, screening and tactfully handling internal and external inquiries.
    • Administers various programs, projects, and processes under specific department requirements, and generally acts as a resource for the department as a whole.
    • May also manage various vendor contracts as assigned.
    • Maintains confidentiality of information, achieves and maintains quality and productivity standards, and must not pose a risk to self or others.

    Qualifications

    • Generally requires up to 1 year of relevant experience using various Microsoft Office applications with the ability to be trained on new software applications.
    • Requires knowledge of and experience with office routines and general clerical procedures.
    • Demonstrated keyboarding quality and efficiency with the ability to proofread for errors effectively. Must also possess general math skills and the ability to create electronic spreadsheets/database reports.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand and maintain confidentiality of information and material.
    • Must exercise good written and verbal communication skills, utilizing effective communication methods. Must also have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and troubleshoot problems when necessary.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with and ability to operate a multiline phone system along with the ability to train others on office equipment.
